Charak Urtiplex Indications

1) Urticaria

2) Allergic and chronic disorders of skin characterized by pruritis of known or unknown etiology

3) Prickly heat in summer

 

Dosage

Adult:1 to 2 capsules twice a day.
Children:1 capsule twice a day

Medication should be continued for seven days after symptoms have subsided.

Do's

1) Prefer good nutritious bland diet at regular intervals

2) Drink plenty of clean and boiled water

3) Bitter things like bitter gourd, bitter variety of drumstick and neem flowers are very useful

4) Keep your mind cheerful and free from stress

Don'ts

1) Avoid spicy, oily and fried food recipes

2) Avoid fish and non-vegetarian items

3) Avoid suppressing the natural urges

4) Avoid consumption of incompatible food items such as milk and sour fruits together, milk and banana, etc

5) Avoid sour things

6) Avoid salt and curd intake

7) Avoid excessive exposure to sun, polluted air and heat

Therapeutic Rationale:

URTIPLEX is a natural anti-allergic and antipruritic formulation. Rubia cordifolia, Curcuma longa exhibit antiallergic and anti-pruritic properties. Other ingredients like Hemidesmus indicus, Emblica officinalis, Andropogan muricatus are blood-purifying agents, which are essential in the treatment of skin disorders. Berberis aristata has antimicrobial, antiallergic, anti-pruritic properties. Zingiber officinale inhibits growth of histamine stimulating bacteria
