It has Shothahara (anti-inflammatory) and Shodhan (detoxification) properties which is beneficial to purify the blood and reduce various skin problems. According to Ayurveda, it also has Krimighna (anti-worm) properties which helps to combat the breeding environment for the growth of worms in the body, thus helping to get rid of symptoms of infestation of worms.
Ingredients:
Khadira (Acacia catechu)
It is commonly known as Karingali, used for stomach problems such as diarrhea, swelling of the colon (colitis), and indigestion. It is also used orally for pain from osteoarthritis and topically to treat pain, bleeding, and swelling (inflammation).
Devadaru (Cedrus deodara)
Also known as Himalayan cedar, Devadaru is very effective in neurological disorders, asthma, pruritus, and infested wounds. Devadaru is also effective in arthritis and headache. Deodar oil contains two major sesquiterpenoids α- and β-himachalenes. Deodardione is also isolated from the essential oil. The oil shows in vitro antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory activity.
Daruharidra (Berberis aristata)
Also known as haldi, this vibrant yellow-colored spice checks the worsening of pitta doshas like jaundice. The powerful anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties of turmeric help in evading infections and treat various skin conditions. Tree turmeric is a revered herb in Ayurvedic medicine, possessing antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and antiseptic properties. It is used as a cholagogue, stomachic, laxative, and diaphoretic.
Hareethaki (Terminalia chebula)
Popularly known as Indian walnut for its innumerable benefits or Indian hog plum in English, it is extremely valuable for its role in improving hair health. It is useful for treating scalp infections like dandruff, itching, and hair fall. It strengthens hair from the roots, prevents breakage and loss, and bestows silky, smooth hair. Chebulic myrobalan is one of the three key ingredients in Triphala, which supports overall digestive function and ensures optimal digestive tract performance. It is also used in intermittent and chronic fevers, anemia, and polyuria, as well as in treating gastrointestinal and respiratory disorders.
Amalaki (Emblica officinalis)
Commonly known as Indian gooseberry, Amalaki is high in vitamin C and natural antioxidants like flavonoids and polyphenols. When used for hair treatments, it strengthens and conditions hair follicles from the roots. Amla oil promotes hair growth, reduces dandruff, and prevents premature greying.
Vibhithaki (Terminalia bellerica)
Known as beach almonds or Bedda nut tree, Vibhithaki is rich in vitamin C and other antioxidants that nourish hair roots. It helps in strengthening hair roots, minimizing hair fall, and preventing premature greying.
Nagakesara (Messua ferrea)
Ironwood tree possesses many therapeutic benefits. It is a hemostatic that stops bleeding and is also anti-inflammatory. It is recommended for use in gout, hemorrhagic disorders, and diseases of the urinary bladder.
Ela (Elettaria cardamomum)
Ela, commonly known as Elaichi, has strong antibacterial and antifungal properties. It helps reduce inflammation and is called the “Queen of Spices.” It is used to flavor food and is also beneficial for dyspepsia, bile disorders, gum infections, throat congestion, and kidney disorders.
Twak (Cinnamomum verum)
Also known as true cinnamon, Twak is used extensively in Ayurveda for neurological disorders, cardiovascular diseases, oxidative stress, inflammatory disorders, diabetes, microbial infections, and cancer.
Patra (Cinnamomum tamala)
Patra, also called Tejpatta or Indian bay leaf, stimulates digestive enzymes and helps improve digestion and nutrient absorption in the intestines. It is both a culinary spice and an Ayurvedic medicine.
Dosage:
-Adults: 15 to 25 ml twice daily after food or as directed by the Physician.
